Thoughtful Food

With a great shift in the way people view their food choices, our clients are conscious about what goes into their meals, how it is made and packaged. Something for Supper has been created to meet this demand.

Our food appeals to the discerning and ethical, eco-conscious foodie. It is fuss-free, yet if you desire frills and fancy we would gladly oblige.

We delight in hunting down only top-quality ingredients from local producers and spice up our food with the best the world has to offer, ensuring exceptionally tasty, gluten-free and nutrient-dense meals that do not contain harmful fats, sugars, grains or additives.

Our Foundations

Mother and daughter team Marina Jarrett and Angela Rae Smith share a great passion for food and endless bouts of culinary creativity that served as cornerstones for the establishment of Eat West Country in 2013.

Being a young mum at the time, Angela had to juggle life with raising a little princess, while having to come up with creative ways to prepare nutritious yet pleasing family meals in the shortest possible time. This served as inspiration for this dynamic duo to develop a range of tasty, nutritious oven-ready dishes under the Something For Supper brand.

They were adamant to establish a product line untouched by modern-day manufacturing processes and bulging with locally sourced ingredients that are not harmful. They believe in moving with the times by continuously refining the trusted recipes that have landed them numerous awards in the past.

In the meantime, a few twists and turns along their journey resulted in a name change that merged Eat West Country and Something For Supper. And what was decided upon was a reworked and refreshed re-brand of a much-loved line, and therefore Something For Supper stuck.

The Something For Supper range is produced in their kitchen on idyllic Godminster Farm near Bruton. Slow cooking methods are applied for the most sumptuous dishes that brim with full-rounded flavour. Only handmade stock is used in their food, added sugar and harmful heat-treated oils are banned from their workspace and only whole grain, if any, goes into their meals. In addition, their meals are mostly gluten-free, except for the odd trusted family favourites on the menu. All meat is from free range and grass-fed cattle.

As part of their commitment to contributing to a greener earth, as much as possible of their packaging is environmentally friendly.

If you would like to speak to us about any of our services, we would love to hear from you. From filling up your freezer with hearty daily delights, to providing a splendid feast for you and guests, we are here to help.
